Movies for Friday August 13, 2010

August 13th is International Lefthanders Day-it is a day observed to promote awareness of the inconveniences faced by those who are left-handers in a right-handed society. With this day in mind, the theme for today will be based on famous actor/director/writer who is also left handed: Charlie Chaplin-enjoy!

1 City Lights (1931) Director: Charles Chaplin
Film based on Charles Chaplin character (the tramp) who attempts to help a flower girl that he has fallen in love with...

2 Modern Times (1936) Director: Charles Chaplin
The tramp tries to live in modern society with a homeless woman that he befriends...

3 The Great Dictator (1940) Director: Charles Chaplin
Satire on Nazi Germany, where a poor Jewish barber is mistaken for a dictator; nominated for a number of Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Writing & Best Actor for Charles Chaplin...

As I have seen only one film from the above picks (City Lights) I look forward to your feedback... enjoy!
